I was sent the Blue-Green Cherry dildo by LadyWoodDildos free of charge in exchange for an unbiased review!

Pros: Beautiful, Good quality, Affordable, Smooth, Comes with storage pouch.

Cons: Cannot be sterilized

Lady Wood Dildos is an Etsy store based out of the United Kingdom! She and her handsome man work together to make beautiful, one of a kind wooden dildos. The quality of these toys are amazing and the owner is super sweet and friendly!

Use:

Wood dildos are good for someone who likes hard toys or someone who wants to try something new! The blue-green cherry dildo was my first wooden toy. I had always wanted to try something wooden and was excited for this toy to arrive at my house! I personally am someone who enjoys hard toys, so this dildo is perfect for me! The ‘waves’ feel great in use and feel nice while being rubbed on my clit. There is a small handle to hold that makes it good for thrusting! Since this toy doesn’t have a base, I wouldn’t recommend it for anal play. Also if you plan to share it between holes or with other people, please use a condom since it cannot be sterilized!

Material/Texture/Quality:

My dildo is made out of a beautiful blue-green cherry wood. It is completely smooth all over and has no drag to it. This toy has a bit of texture towards the tip. It has a few ‘waves’ that feel wonderful! The quality of this toy is great! You can tell they put a lot of time and effort into each toy. This is a dildo that will last you a long time with proper care!

Design/Shape/Size:

This blue-green cherry dildo is a beautiful wooden dildo. Honestly, all of the toys at Lady Wood Dildo are stunning! Mine is a blue/green color with 2 ‘wave’ like bumps at the top of the shaft. The handle is just a normal wood color. The measurements for this toy are as follows:

  • Total length – 9 1/2 inches.
  • Usable length – 8 1/2 inches.
  • Diameter at widest point – 1 1/2 inches.
  • Circumference at widest point – 4 1/2 inches.

Care/Maintenance:

One thing that I really appreciate about LWD is that they include a care sheet of instructions on how to care for your dildo. Wood is a material that not everyone knows a lot about, so it’s really helpful! The instructions read:

  • Gently wipe clean with water and a soft cloth or sponge, this is sufficient to clean the toy after use. If you wish to use anything other than water, use a mild soap to take care of the finish.
  • Do not allow the toy to remain submerged in liquid for prolonged periods.
  • Do not put in dishwasher or boil.
  • Always check for damage before use. Check to see that the finish is intact and bare wood is not exposed – bare wood could harbor bacteria and render the toy unhygienic. The finish should not thin through normal use with gentle cleaning, but it is always the best to check to make sure!
  • A good way to check for bare wood is to dunk the toy in water for a few seconds and then observe how the water behaves on the surface of the wood. It should bead up and there should be no change in color. Bare wood tends to darken when wet.” it is bad to leave it submerged for long periods but the odd dunk in water won’t do it any harm.
  • Avoid scratching the toy or dropping it on a hard surface –  this could damage the finish and dent the wood. If there is ever a dent in the wood do not use the toy.
  • Do not store in an excessively humid environment or an environment with extreme of temperature.
  • Use sensibly!

I store mine in the little bag it came with in my dresser drawer. If you plan on using lube with your toy, be sure to only use water based lube!

Shipping/Packaging:

The shipping for my toy was actually really fast considering it was coming from the UK to the east coast! It was shipped on the 9th and I received it on the 18th! On the box it was labeled as a ‘wooden ornament’ and marked as a gift. Very discreet packaging! When I opened the box, I found my toy beautifully wrapped! I was so excited to see what it looked like that I opened it before I took a photo of the packaging. It comes with a bit of tissue paper to keep it safe during the travel, so you won’t have to worry about anything bad happening to it. Mine came with a cute little bag.

It can be sterilized. Assuming the dildo beads up when water is applied, then it should be waterproof and could be sterilized with a simple alcohol swab.
